The project City Link Riga will be a multi nodal mixed-use complex comprising a train station, a bus station, a hospital, office facilities, a 4 star building and a retail center. This new construction shall be the initial step for further urban development in this area especially with the Hanza Viertel, rises as a promising new urban development. Our design refers to the warm glowing amber stones which are found in the Baltic sea - close to Riga. Each of the three “amber stones” embraces different functions.
The gap in between this volume creates a dynamic shopping mall. The ribbon like elevation is wrapping the building in horizontally oriented warm amber colors and will glow during cold winter nights. In our design green building solutions are applied such as green roofs, usage of geo-thermal power, solar paneled elevations.
