Daugava Residences
Area Size: 20 ha, Location: Riga, Latvia
Along the picturesque Daugava River about 5km downstream from the historical city centre of Riga a 30ha river sand depot will be converted into a new residential area. To attract new residents from Riga we designed a collage of Riga “en miniature”. Different in typologies, scale, materials and textures but homogeneous in its contemporary appearance “Little Riga” will provide a peaceful living quarter without missing the vibrant and bustling parts of the capital.
As Riga has a long tradition in wooden and brick architecture in “Little Riga” state of the art wooden building design will be combined with more traditional brick living quartiers.
