The single-span bowstring bridge has a span of 44.00 m over the rail tracks of the national railway company Deutsche Bahn AG.

The municipality of the Hanseatic City of Rostock planned the double-lane extension of the road Hinrichsdorfer Straße from Dierkower Allee, the main road of Rostock's north-eastern district, to the access point of a commercial zone known as "Nördliche Goorsdorfer Straße" in order to obtain a an appropriate connection to the supra-regional road network with a sufficient capacity. The first construction stage comprised the construction of the single-span bowstring bridge no. 160 (composite structure) with a span of 44.00 m over the rail tracks of the national railway company Deutsche Bahn AG, east of the existing bridge structure including northern and southern road access by shifting the road Hinrichsdorfer Straße to the new bridge axis.
