In 2020, Inros Lackner Cambodia was contracted by Chevron Cambodia Limited to perform a structural integrity survey of the Small Jetty at the Sihanoukville Terminal and to deliver a fit-for-purpose detailed engineering design for the save operation of the jetty for tanker vessels with a gross tonnage of 2,500 metric tonnes. Based on findings made during a preliminary assessment, an engineering assessment of the structural conditions was performed which consisted of different non-destructive and destructive field investigations. A mooring analysis amd berthing and fender assessment were conducted by taking into account environmental and vessel data. Subsequently, several options were recommended to bring the terminal up to international standards for safe berthing and mooring.
