Design of an eco-friendly 150 ha tourist destination integrating an existing fisher village and a freshwater lagoon.
This project is part of a greater vision to transform Phu Quoc Island into a sustainable tourist destination of international standard. Blessed with a magnificent landscape the Rach Vem area has a pristine beach facing north and a hilly hinterland in the south. The main feature of the masterplan is the existing lagoon with its mangrove trees, connecting all parts of this masterplan development.
Along the beach front a small scale Eco tourism development is nestled around the natural lagoon. The existing romantic setting of the fishing village is sensibly transformed into a homestay area in the north western part meandering along the Rach Vem River. The masterplan provides a marina, a leisure square and 6 ecological resort developments. A medium density residential development is planned in the south western part of the development. Three small rivers are crossing the land providing fresh water to the lagoon. Inros Lackner Vietnam joined with WATG, USA to develop a 1:2000 Masterplan for this 150 ha area.
