New Container Terminal, Russia
The terminal will be located on an area of 64 ha, dimensioning for a cargo handling of 1,000,000 TEU.
The project intends to provide for additional transshipment capacilities for a rising container traffic volume in the north west of Russia.
The preparation of the project is effected on the basis of Russian regulations and laws, in close collaboration with the local partner, principal as well as other Russian / German consulting engineers and internal experts.
The design work comprises facilities and constructions as follows:
- land reclamation by hydraulic filling
- access canal
- berths for container ships and vessels for passenger car transportation
- storage areas for FCL (full container load), reefer containers, empties and for cars (import / export)
- traffic areas, operation / circulation areas
- railroad lines
- road and railway access
- supply and disposal lines incl. connections
- waste water treatment plant
- buildings, workshops and container freight station incl. domestic engineering
- devises for customs, border installations and other governmental or regulatory institutions
- facility for power supply
- additional soil investigation
In completition of the technical design works, comprehensive preliminary examinations have been contracted by the investor, e. g.:
- noise protection expertise
- ecological biotope mapping
- soil investigation
- environmental impact assessment
