The office and production floor space of the Technology and Commercial Centre (TGZ) in Schwerin is currently being expanded. A new building, with a gross floor area of approx. 6,650 m2, is being constructed with four individual modules and a set-back top floor. The modules, which have a similar design internally and externally, are connected by shared stairs structures. The new complex will provide individually configurable areas for production or office space. In addition to its modern technology, the building’s conference room, with an area of 200 m2, will also offer a wonderful view of the city of Schwerin’s Ostorfer Lake.
As well as taking on the role of General Planner, Inros Lackner is responsible for construction supervision and the building's external facilities. The architectural focus is on the combination of functionality and aesthetics - for example, in the design of the set-back stairs structures, the glazing of the west-facing connection elements and the “protruding frame” design of some of the otherwise structurally identical windows. The excavation and civil engineering work for the new building started at the beginning of July 2022.
