The new Radisson Hotel is being built in the Silohalbinsel area of Rostock's city harbour. The modern five-storey building has 180 rooms and an adjoining office complex for the neighbouring company, Centogene. The hotel meets the highest standards and offers its guests numerous amenities such as a fitness and wellness area, event rooms, underground parking, dining facilities in the inner courtyard and a roof terrace with a view over the Warnow River.
Inros Lackner is responsible for the soil investigation work and for the design of the building structure, the technical building systems and the civil engineering structures. The company is also responsible for site supervision relating to the excavation work, the building construction and the external facilities. A notable feature is the use of a diaphragm wall in the construction of the new building, rather than a bored pile or soldier pile wall.
With the completion of the building shell, and the topping-out ceremony on 24th March 2023, an important project milestone has now been reached. Thanks to its location on the Warnow River, the building is regarded by the Friedemann Kunz Family Foundation as a new "gateway" to the city. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2024.
